about

VAN STEE returns with their long awaited sophomore release HEARTBREAKER NERVEWRECKER MEANSUCKER. The album was recorded over a 4 year period with Lance W Conrad at Humans Win! Studios in Minneapolis. Through dense arrangements and biting lyrics Charlie writes about loss, co-dependence, acceptance and forging your own path while still navigating the road maps we are all given. At times, Heartbreaker Nervewrecker Meansucker is a darker affair than their debut album WE ARE. In spite of this new direction, the album still features the catchy melodies and memorable hooks you can expect from VAN STEE.
The band teamed up with local filmmaker Toph Heubach to interpret Charlie's felt artwork nightmares with animation. Using a combination of techniques, Toph directed the debut video for the very first single "Here Comes the Fire" featuring local legend HALEY.
The album will be available on Limited Edition Pressed Yellow Vinyl, all major streaming platforms and as a digital download. Limited Edition Vinyl pre-orders include an advanced download of "Here Comes the Fire feat. HALEY" a full 168 hours (!!!) before it hits streaming platforms. All vinyl records include a digital download card. The initial Ultra Limited Edition run of Vinyl Records will be shipped with a one-of-a-kind, handmade BRAIN RECORD TOPPER! Designed and crafted by the band to place on your center spindle while the album turns for a mind blowing, multi-sensory experience you'll want to share with everyone.
